(spoiler alert) The title of The Memory of a Face is perfect. The story is about love. Love in all its myriad forms. In the story, a young man named Andy loses his memory after an accident (it's not cliché, Das pulls it off well), but he never forgets the face of his lover. It's beautiful and demonstrates the power of love. You can lose your memory, but still hang on to the feelings that person stirs in you.I enjoyed this book so much more than I expected to. It's very different from my normal reading material, but I'm glad I didn't miss out on it. The characters are well drawn out. Das has told the story in a way that is unique, especially with the Hong Kong culture and language, and draws his characters with a fine hand. They become real very quickly and I found myself rooting for them from the beginning.
It was a very enjoyable read and I am looking forward to more books from Ansh Das.

No spoiler alerts here. This book was a fabulous read. I loved how it moved me at the end and I love how the title fits this book perfectly. I recommend it for all readers who are looking for an escape and I thank the author for such a great piece. Looking forward to more.
This book is impressively written.
It has a very interesting plot, and some really intriguing characters.
I also think it was very clever for the author the include several equality 'agendas' inside of the book, although I personally think one of the explanations was a little too long for casual readers or people who already understood that.
This book also explores different kind of love which is a very good thing since readers will have the chance to reflect. I also like the concept of moving on and allowing yourself to fall in love again rather than lingering on until the end of time.
I also like that this book has a happy ending! I literally was talking to myself repeatedly, "Please be a happy ending!" so I'm satisfied.
It's definitely worth buying, and it's for charity as well!
Poignant and reflective of the yearn for true love beneath the luxurious trappings of Hong Kong and beyond. Every protagonist is a hero to confront his/ her own demons while in search of someone who knows their deepest pain and sorrows.
